The new Helvest DM100 module: digital made even easier.

Now you know that MVnet is the simplest and easiest way to digitise your system: thanks to LocHaus software, which automatically recognises the devices on the network and enables decoders to be located and programmed graphically, digitising a miniature rail network becomes accessible to everyone.

The advantages of digital technology

But there are some model railroaders who don’t want to use complex electronic equipment such as a digital control unit, and who don’t feel comfortable with computers. We’ve thought of them too, with the DM100 module available by the end of November 2024.

This module enables even simpler automation than is possible with MVnet: no programming, no use of a control unit or computer, just assemble and… have fun with your miniature railway!

How the DM100 module works

The simple but innovative idea behind the DM100 module is this: it automatically links a module that detects input data (e.g. a pushbutton or a module detecting the presence of a train) to a control module (e.g. the operation of points, signals, servomotors, relays, etc.) So when a train passes or a button is pressed at the input, the corresponding device is automatically activated.

Each Layout module has four input or output ports, which are immediately and automatically associated: port 1 of the input module with port 1 of the control module, and so on.

Who is this module for?

This module makes it possible to create very simple automation systems, at low cost and without any knowledge of electronics, without even having to program anything. Of course, it doesn’t have the versatility of computer-controlled MVnet or MVnet unmanaged (where different elements can be combined on different decoders). But for anyone who just needs to implement very simple automation, it’s the solution that was missing until now.
