MVnet is a network that simplifies the use and configuration of model railway accessories via the computer, and is compatible with most management software (Train Controller*, WinDigipet*, RocRail*, Itrain*…).
What are the advantages of using MVnet?
This network is extremely versatile. But the two elements that make it revolutionary are :
It connects directly to the computer via USB, so accessories can be managed directly, without involving the digital control unit. This means there are no complicated procedures for connecting the control unit to the computer, and management is quick and immediate.
Programming the accessories is intuitive and very simple, thanks to the free LocHaus configuration software. After powering up, the network configures itself and you see all the decoders, connected feedback modules and electronic accessories on a single screen. Configuration is simple and intuitive.
The system works with almost all available software and can also be used with existing devices.
LocHaus software is available in 4 languages: English, German, French and Italian.
Why should I use MVnet for my model railway?
It simplifies the installation and programming process. Everything is automatically configured within an instant, and setting up devices, programming addresses, etc. is very simple and can be done at any time.
It simplifies diagnostics: you can see all the connected devices on a single screen at all times, and if you want to check whether a signal or switch is working properly, you can locate it immediately.
It simplifies electronics, because it communicates directly with the computer via USB, so you don’t have to carry out complicated operations.
What I need to get started with MVnet
To set up an MVnet system, you just need two things:
an MVC100 USB converter a TWP10 cable
You also need :
LocHaus software, which you can find on the download page.
Of course, the decoders to be controlled must be equipped with an MV100 module.
How to assemble an MVnet decoder
The devices controlled by MVnet can manage turnouts, signals, track occupancy detectors, push buttons, etc.
To assemble it, you need :
an HP100 motherboard
a MV100 net module
one or two “Layout” modules of your choice from the Helvest range.
You’ll find a guide for choosing the right modules on this page. The modules are of course also available in the shop.
